At first, I did not know what to expect from this class. I did not know what “spaces for seeing” meant. I enjoyed discovering meaning by observing media and other messages behind pictures. This unique class was a different kind of learning. I had to use more critical thinking to find a subtle, deeper meanings. I made stronger friendships with other honors students in that class. I enjoyed going to art museums in Richmond and thinking about the art and the meanings conveyed by the artists. I now have a newfound appreciation of art and will try to interpret new pieces whenever I see them.
