GEOG 310 Thinking Geographically

This was a challenging course because the content was only spoken during lectures which made this class hard to study for. I learned about some principles of human geography in the United States and the effects of an area’s geographical features placed on its residents. I found the fact where one’s own environment greatly influences their trade and line of work. Another interesting fact is how most major cities are near a large body of water, not by coincidence, but because it allows for the transportation of goods and people to a city. I learned a lot from this class, but I still don’t know how it can help with my teaching. I grown in my ability to connect with others by scheduling group study sessions to help us prepare for upcoming exams. I haven’t scheduled a study session before, so this was a new and helpful experience I will use in the future.
