CHEM 111

I loved this class! It very closely reassembled my chemistry class I took in high school and was overall an easier class in my opinion. I really enjoyed the quest system that was used, it took a lot of stress associated with tests off my shoulders and allowed me to spend more

time learning about each individual topic. While this was one of my earlier classes, the processor did an amazing job of making his students look forward to coming and created an amazing environment to learn in! Almost every week he had a different baked good waiting for us; from cookies to banana bread to fudge to even biscuits and gravy, it was always a great time. In this class, the topics discussed weren’t too difficult, with only a few areas causing me some trouble, but never enough to fail a quest. The quest system and having to pass with a 4/5 was a nice change compared to my other classes with 70 question tests and 4 page essays. Some topics we reviews included composition of substances and solutions and periodic properties of elements. This class is also one of the reasons why I wanted to minor in chemistry!

This is one of the labs we had to complete and record in our notebook, this lab was on limiting reactant and percent yield.
