Boy was I right. Time really did fly. I think that’s all I’ve been telling people recently, that I can’t believe it’s already been four years. And what an amazing four years they’ve been. Longwood has become a home I love and cherish because it has brought be me so many amazing people and experiences. Some things have stayed the same since Freshmen year. I still miss home the most during October, but now I have a house that I share with my best friends that I can decorate however I want. I have a cat now too, which I never thought was a possibility. Now I’m halfway done with my last year of college and I think its weird that I’ve become a senior again. Soccer is still a huge part of my life, but it ended up not being as fulfilling as I thought it would be, but that’s ok because I discovered people and opportunities that mattered more. Getting into Medical School is dream that’s been pushed back for another year or too, I’ve decided to to do a gap year instead and I think my mental health is gonna really thank me for it. I still really want to be a doctor though, and I know I’ve done as much as I can to ensure that it happens. Because for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to add two minors and a concentration. But all those extra classes are really gonna pay off in the future.
College really has been the most amazing part of my life so far. I am going to be so sad and happy to walk across that stage in May, but at least I’ll have all my friends and family there with me. It hasn’t always been easy, but I have learned and grown so much these past 4 years and I am so excited to see what the future brings.
You did amazing! And and I am so proud of how far I’ve come. Peace Longwood. ILY!
