Principles of Management (MANG 360)

Attached above is a group paper completed at the end of semester that my group completed after interviewing someone from a business. My group chose to interview the Assistant-Manager at the Barnes and Noble at Longwood University and focus on the recent change in management along with the store processes. We learned how these processes have changed since the new management arrived and asked about the challenges the business face.

This class was a challenge for me mainly because of the professors teaching style. He taught by reading directly from PowerPoints in a monotone voice which made it difficult to pay attention. There were group exercises each class that took up a large amount of the time and didn’t seem to help us retain the information. Overall, this class taught me how to teach myself information outside of the classroom setting when I struggled to learn it in class.
