Beginning Language and Culture (ASL 110)

ASL 110 was the first language course I took during the fall semester of my freshman year. It taught me what were the best ways to learn a new language. Every assignment we were given for this course was completed in class and on paper, therefore I have no artifact to show. Learning a new language is always difficult, but I found many ways that made it easier. One thing I learned was to practice a lot outside of class, for me this including signing along to the words I knew when I was listening to music. Another tool that helped me a lot was watching videos of people telling stories or signing along to music online. These strategies that I found to be helpful for me will also be helpful when it comes to learning the material of other classes.
