Attached above is a Language Sample I completed in my CSDS 285 class during the fall semester. We were asked to find a young child to interview and calculate the mean length of utterance. To do this I had to calculate both the morphemes and utterances throughout the interview with the child. This was very important to complete as I will be completing many throughout my career.
CSDS 285 was the first class I completed for my major. I was nervous going into the class as it would determine whether or not I chose the correct major. Luckily, I found the class to be the easiest and most exciting of the semester. I enjoyed everything we were learning about and wanted to learn more. Completing the class made me excited for the rest of my college career and what will come after.
