Community

The Cormier Honors College is a place where the community is more than just that; we are a family. Community is where we grow to be the people we are meant to be. We learn and evolve around the people we spend our time with. Each day with the Cormier Honors College, I am able to grow into a better person and reach my greatest potential.

At Longwood, I spent three months in Wheeler Residence hall and my remaining time in Cox hall. Wheeler hall allowed me to meet people I never would have met at Longwood. I found study buddies and friends to enjoy art with. Although my time in Wheeler was short, I learned new things about myself I never would have known without being there. Through my classes, I gained new connections with professors that will help me during my time with the Honors College. Community is a huge part of the Cormier Honors College for good reason. I was able to experience a strong feeling of not only community but family during my first year. As I transitioned to living off-campus I still am able to feel connected to the community in the classroom.
