Professional Development

For my junior year, I completed Senior Seminar in Anthropology with Dr. Bates. Throughout this course, we learned the basic skills needed to enter the professional world. We discussed things like applying for jobs and how to network effectively. Our assignments included working with the Career Services Center to bolster our resumes, create a LinkedIn profile, and grow our job interviewing skills. All of these will be needed as I begin looking for jobs in the future post-graduation.

As a senior, I am completing my internship at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts. This position allows me to work with multiple offices within the LCVA and gain the knowledge I will need to work in the museum field. I am able to create projects for community partners and work within the community to complete them. I also am helping to recreate the surveys for each workshop to allow the LCVA to efficiently collect information from our patrons.
