Anthropology 495: Historical Archaeology

Historical Archaeology was a class I chose to take based solely on interest and not a need for credits. Historical Archaeology is the main form of archaeology I wish to pursue in my future career so this class felt very beneficial for me. Dr. Kostro structured this class to be discussion focused. We read articles and took notes each week then came to class and discussed what we learned. Through this discussion, we grew very close as a class. Before the first day, I had been nervous about this class due to it being an upper-level class with only archaeology majors. I learned to let go and be myself in this class due to Dr. Kostro’s welcoming nature and his willingness to let us speak our minds.
