In 19th Century Europe, we discussed the good, the bad, and the ugly that occurred during one of the most tumultuous centuries. While we may have had to remember dates and names, like many other history classes, Dr. Mole spent a large portion of class periods opening the floor for student discussions. We often made fun of him for always asking “open-ended questions”, but in the end, he used these questions to get us talking. I believe discussion is a huge part of learning. It is important for us to bring up our opinions while also listening to outside perspectives. By creating a comfortable environment for us to speak in, Dr. Mole allowed us to share our opinions and learn through discussion.
