I took this course in Spring 2021. I did well at this course until it came to quiz time. I believe this might’ve been because much of our learning content was about applying chemistry to the real world with only a few actual chemistry problem examples (i.e. the “math” part), whereas the quizzes focused a bit more on the “math” part and less on the application to the real world. Although I did review the problems we were given in class, in the future I will look up other example problems.
During this course, I made three video presentations using the website WeVideo. The first video presentation, on the chemist Gertrude Elion, is linked below. For the other presentations, I worked in a group discussing DDT and the Paleo Diet. As we became more comfortable using WeVideo, our video presentations became longer and we used more of the websites features such as transitions.
