Dear senior year Catharine,

As you finish up your senior year of college, I wanted to tell you that I am so proud of you. You have not only made it through four years of college, but seventeen years of school. You have embarked on a journey, that has changed your life forever. Longwood is a second home and now, as you graduate, just know you have Longwood and Farmville in your corner.

You have met the most amazing people, that are such a huge part of your life. These new friendships will be those that you carry on for the rest of your life. This first year has been one of the toughest, mentally and physically, that you have ever experienced. It came with many tears, doubts and headaches, but the experiences that came and lessons that were learned are what all those hardships are for.  These struggles were hard, and especially challenging for you, but have made you the girl you are today.

In this transition of your life, I wish you only the best for you. I hope you continue to impact the world around you and leave your mark wherever life takes you. Right now, I am not sure what is ahead for you but I know it is big things. Your heart is so big, never stop being kind to everyone around you and living life with a positive spirit. In these next four years, you will be now out in the ‘real’ world. That sounds scary right now, and even crazy to think about right now, but I know that you will be great. I hope you find the career that fits you best, and something that you enjoy doing. We have been indecisive our whole life when it comes to the future career, but I trust you, and you will pick the best career for you to achieve all your goals and dreams. I know you have the ability to change the world around you, and I cannot wait to see it!
