BIOL 251- Ecology and Evolution

This class was a huge learning experience for me. It felt organized a lot differently than any class I had taken here at Longwood, and I had to adjust accordingly. There was a lot of group work, which was interesting for my classmates and I due to the fact that this was the first in person COVID semester. There were a lot of unknowns and we had to learn to use what we had. I feel like I gained a lot of teamwork skills from this class, which I appreciate as I get closer to a real career path.

I vividly remember this class being one of the first classes at Longwood that I genuinely struggled with. Looking back, I appreciate that I struggled through that class, because the next semester only brought tougher classes that I now felt like I was more prepared for. Alothough it was hard and frustrating for me in the moment, the work put in really paid off.

We had multiple big assignments in this class, but I’ve chosen to attach my final lab paper for this class about human demography. I think this was a great reflection of what was accomplished in this class.
