During the course of the semester we read three books, Things Fall Apart, Courage Tastes of Blood, and No god but God, although the book that this paper is based off of, Courage Tastes of Blood, was my least favorite of the course, I choose it for my e-portfolio because it involved the most critical thinking and application of concepts learned in class. While we read this book we were talking about Communism in Russia and its effects elsewhere in Europe and the United States, however this book, focused more on the political and economic issues taking place within the Chilean government and how these issues impacted the indigenous Mapuche population. The book was challenging and confusing but I feel that the effort and time spent on the book and the paper are shown through its content.
