Exercise Testing and Prescription
Exercise testing and prescription is the most highly weighted course in the kinesiology major besides the 8 credit internship. This course is 5 credits of hard work that prepares you for your internship and for the ACSM exercise physiology test. This test is no longer a requirement but is suggested if one would like to continue their education in the exercise physiology direction. I learned a lot from this course including how to complete VO2 calculations that are pertinent if one wants to do exercise prescription in their future. unlike other course, I found this one to be highly invigorating and enjoyed learning the information.
I have included my heart rate monitor assignment that we completed in class. Sadly, not all of the math is completed because I hand filled it in but this is a sample of the work we did in class.
