Abnormal Psychology

Abnormal psychology is not a course required for my major or a general education requirement, but a prerequisite for PA school. In general this course, taught by Dr. Ritzert, was very informative. It taught me how to interact with people in group settings since many assignments were group based but also a new perspective on psychological disorders.

Many people, myself included, view people with disorders such as schizophrenia as crazy. These people are just normal like us but have something different. People with autism for example, are just as smart as people without they just learn and receive information differently. That does not make them lesser than me, just different.

I believe abnormal psychology is an important course for anyone who wishes to interact with people with psychological disorders to help them understand how interactions may need to differ.

I have included my final exam from abnormal psychology as a link below.
