I took this course to fulfill a requirement for my major.

This course was very interesting and explored media and its relationship with people and/or viewers. It touched on various aspects ranging from TV shows, social media, the history of media and so on. While this course was factually interesting, it also taught me a lot more about the media and changed my viewpoint of it. From taking this course, I learned that the media is very purposeful and powerful. Everything you see on TV, movies or online has a purpose or intent. Before taking this course, I would view the media at face value, but now I analyze it in a much deeper way.

The final assignment for this course was analyzing a form of media and breaking down its messages. I have attached the assignment below. For this assignment I chose to analyze an episode of a TV show and describe its meaning. I am glad I took this course because I now see the media in a different way and have a much more informed opinion of it.
