Goal 10: SPAN 211

SPAN 211, or Intermediate Integrated Language and Culture I, is the second course I had to take in my foreign language career at Longwood. Because I am an English major and we work very closely with the Foreign Language department, we have to take an extra semester of a foreign language. I opted to continue taking Spanish like I did in middle and high school.

I had Annette Rosado-Figueroa for my professor and absolutely loved her! She was super laid back and very personable with each and every one of her students. I had to work extra hard for the class because Spanish is not something that comes easily to me, but I ended the class with an A and the professor even told me to stick with it because I was good at it!

Throughout the semester, we worked on memorizing vocabulary and several grammatical rules. My favorite part had to be when she would introduce us to new Spanish countries and we’d get to learn about the similarities and differences between them all.

I don’t actually have copies of any assignments that I did for the class because we did everything either on paper worksheets she would hand out or in class. However, I did include a picture of my grades for the assignments we had to turn in.
