The Odyssey Online @ LU

The Odyssey is an online community for writers to write about whatever strikes their interest. It’s a forum where creators are free to be as creative as they wish. This is my second time being a part of the Odyssey Online community – first in high school, and now in college. The Odyssey keeps the writer in me accountable to produce new content each week and has also allowed me to get to know more people around campus that I might not have otherwise had the opportunity to meet.

There have been hundreds of articles published by our team in the past three years, group hangouts that have bonded us even closer, and new additions to the family.

I became the Editor-in-Chief of Longwood’s Odyssey Online chapter in May 2019 and led the team for the past year before voting in our current EIC, Heather Waldo, in April 2020! Being the Editor-in-Chief for the past year has been a true blessing, but I felt it was time to let someone else experience the job and I have already seen Heather grow leaps and bounds in the position, both as a writer and as a leader.

I am so excited to see how the new EXEC board leads the team in my last year at Longwood University, and I plan on being the best general member and writer I can be for the team in this new season!
