Personal Finance
Personal Finance, with Dr. Sturgill, was taken as a general education goal, math. Earlier, I completed Stats and realized that because it was required for my bachelors degree it did not count for my goal. Originally, I signed up for personal finance only because I assumed it to be an easy A, which it was, but it turned out as being much more helpful.
Personal finance is a great course because of how applicable it is to life. We learned how to calculate tax with deductions and exemptions as well as how to calculate what one would need to deposit now to have a certain amount in the future (i.e. present and future value). I believe this course has made me more ready for the world after college, for when I am living on my own and having to understand finance without the luxury of having it all set out for me.
I have included an essay/ group project completed in class.
