NURS 341: Nursing Care of Adults and Families

NURS 341 focused on the knowledge needed to provide safe, high-quality care to adults experiencing common health problems. This course put a strong emphasis on provided current evidence-based practice in a culturally sensitive manner. Nurses have a major role in health promotion, symptom management, and collaboration in providing care to their patients. The most influential part of this course was having the opportunity to see many of the diseases and conditions we were learning about in class and applying that knowledge in the clinical setting. This class allowed me to gain further knowledge on topics that we had already had a foundation on in previous classes.

One day while at clinical I had the opportunity to shadow in the OR. This was a great experience because it allowed me to see a different side of nursing than I had previously gotten to experience. I was able to write a paper on this experience and have attached it below.
