Longwood University and the Cormier Honors College have both given me many opportunities to serve the community of Farmville University and the surrounding counties.
I had the opportunity the first week of my freshman year to participate in the Cormier Honors Retreat. This was an amazing experience and really helped me to expand my horizons while starting off my college career. The major service project I participated in was at Sprouses Corner Ranch in Dillwyn, Virginia. We helped in cleaning out horse stalls, cleaned up weeds, put mulch down around flower beds, and took off brush. I really enjoyed helping the community and making a difference.
