Human Behavior and Social Institutions Pillar

Sociology 105 was one of my favorite classes I have taken at Longwood. I especially loved the discussions about race and racism in the United States. We also discussed issues such as gender, sex, and sexuality. This was interesting as all of these topics are influenced by modern technology, parents, peers, the media, schools, and religious organizations. We also analyzed social institutions in America such as family, education, work, etc. Lastly, we learned and discussed issues of poverty, inequality, and discrimination in America.
