Lightning Strike 5

Fall 2021 – ATTR 473

SINCE THESE PROJECTS ARE PRESENTED IN PERSON, I DO NOT HAVE A RECORDING OF MY PRESENTATION.  HOWEVER, HERE IS THE POWERPOINT OF MY COMPILED RESEARCH.  WE ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE THE SLIDES UP BEHIND US WHEN PRESENTING, BUT WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO READ OFF THEM.  BASIC POINTS THAT I HIT THROUGHOUT THE PRESENTATION ARE WRITTEN IN THE NOTES SECTION BELOW EACH SLIDE.

Vitamin D Deficiency

by taylor yeager

Reflection: This semester’s project originated heavily from the team I was working with at the time as well as my lack of knowledge in the subject of nutrition. I enjoyed researching a new topic and diving into the world of nutrition rather than the generic sports injuries. It is astounding how many people suffer from Vitamin D deficiency unknowingly and how many athletes are more at risk for injury because of it. I think the knowledge from this project is one of the few from college that I will carry with me throughout my career. It really broadens the field of athletic training in my eyes and adds another tool to my toolbox. Furthermore, this was probably the most confident presentation I have ever given in my college career. These lightning strikes have really shown my growth over the past three years in this program and in the field of athletic training.
