Lightning Strike 3

Fall 2020 – ATTR 471

THIS YEAR’S PRESENTATION WAS CONDUCTED VIA ZOOM BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC.  HERE IS THE POWERPOINT OF MY COMPILED RESEARCH.  WE ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE THE SLIDES UP BEHIND US WHEN PRESENTING, BUT WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO READ OFF THEM.  BASIC POINTS THAT I HIT THROUGHOUT THE PRESENTATION ARE WRITTEN IN THE NOTES SECTION BELOW EACH SLIDE.

Parental Pressure & Anxiety

Reflection: I decided to connect this year’s project to something I struggle with myself. This made the research and presentation process enjoyable and easier because I was actually engaged with what I was learning. Struggling with anxiety has allowed me to learn even more about myself and effective ways to aid mental health. Furthermore, with the number of students presenting these lightning strikes, the basic injuries have been done in the first and second years. Quite a few of us have begun to dive deeper into more complex topics and emphasize the need for more research in these areas. I especially liked this topic because it is something new to athletic training that I think I will use more when I become a professional in the field.
