FALL 2018

The following artifact emphasizes one of the topics discussed in this class.  These were my reading notes for one of the articles we had to read by a famous philosopher named Noonan.

Reflection: This topic was very important to me because I firmly believe in “My body my choice.”  However, this class opened my eyes to different sides of this debate.  In my reading notes, you can see that I had to identify each of the points that the philosopher made in support of abortions and one or two objections to that support that were also pointed out in the reading.  This type of learning was really beneficial for me because I was able to see each side of an argument in its entirety.  I have always been the type of person to listen to and want to understand every opinion in a conflict, so this class helped me put that type of thinking into perspective.  I feel as though I can take what I learned from this class and apply it to every day life.  Although I already try to stay neutral, I learned the best practices for researching and learning about multiple points of view in order to form my own opinion in the end.
