SPRING 2019

While learning german, we wrote a few cultural reflections to learn more about what goes on in the daily lives of German citizens.  Learning a language is not just about semantics; you must also learn the ways of the culture to get a full understanding.

Reflection: I have always been so intrigued by the German culture and language.  This especially pertains to how they control their school system.  Writing and researching for this paper really opened my eyes to how students learn in different ways.  Obviously every person learns differently, and it was interesting to read about how students in Germany get that opportunity.  My takeaway from this information is that I can learn to adapt to any type of teaching.  Learning is adaptable, and students can learn to adjust and change their academic path to make them happy.
