FALL 2021

this symposium project was a whole class effort and involved collaboration with both time sections. we worked together to create a proposal for a nature play path within the farmville community. within the slideshow is the names of the speakers/creators of certain slides of the presentation as well as an outline of their speaking parts in the comment sections. I was group leader for the partnerships group.

Reflection: This project was very unique and made researching for this class fun. I enjoyed getting the chance to be a leader amongst my peers, and it was a very different role than I am used to. Although I think I have grown as a leader over the years, my roles have usually been small and short term. However, this role took place over the course of the entire semester, so I had to learn how to delegate over a long period of time. I also held this project as a high priority because of the message it sends. Catering a play area to the children of Farmville just warmed my heart, and I think that helped in my presentation of my section. Seeking out partnerships around Farmville and speaking to stakeholders was a great experience that allowed me to explore my collaborative side. I will definitely use these skills after college as a working professional.
