Being a member of Class of 2022 Mortar Board was never truly on my agenda while I was at Longwood. The time came for applications though and many friends of mine urged me to try. Jumping in feet first, I was elected President of the chapter were I have now become more efficient on managing the chapter and all the events that come with it.
Mortar board oversees and plans the largest event on campus, Oktoberfest. Knowing that I am in charge of the event can be terrifying but rewarding. Standing as the active president, I have already attended conferences, gained insight on how to reach large market labels, as well as plan events that are accessible for all Longwood students.
