PHYS 103: Conceptual Physics was a class that covered basic physics principles that we all use in our daily lives. This included topics such as mechanics, fluids, heat, electricity, magnetism, and light. Physics requires a lot of memorization of laws, rules, and equations. I was intimidated by this class at first, being that physics is not really a field I am interested in. Although I thought I would be bored in this class, I found myself truly engaged with the material as I tried to grasp the concepts of our planet. Some concepts clicked right away, while others took more time to make sense. I advocated for myself by asking for help when I needed it. This help included meeting with my professor during office hours to work through concepts I found difficult, taking the time to work through problems I got incorrect, and forming study groups with my peers. I ended up with a high A at the end of the semester! This course emphasized the importance of being attentive and aware of my learning process and my areas of weakness/strength. This was the first course I really took the time to advocate for myself in.

Unfortunately, I do not have an artifact for this class. All of the assignments were turned in electronically and I have lost access to them.
