EDUC 361: Practicum Integration was both exciting and exhausting. This course was my practicum experience. I was placed in a third grade classroom in Chesterfield County Public Schools for 60+ hours. I was in the classroom every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday observing, learning, and applying new found information. This was my first time being and teaching in the classroom. I learned how to act professionally as a teacher, I formed relationships with students and my CT, and I planned lessons that met both the requirements of my Longwood courses as well as the classroom I was in. I was nervous going into the classroom after the current events happening in the education system; I thought this course would reveal the doubt I had about my major, but I was surprised with my experience. This course uncovered the original passion I had for teaching when I first started college. Throughout the semester, I recorded my daily experiences in the classroom in an interactive notebook. This notebook is linked below. (Spring 2022)
