In addition to Community and Scholarship, Service is a major Honors Pillar. Community service is one of the main aspects that is encouraged through honors. There are many opportunities to give back to the community through the Honors Students Association (HSA) and other organizations on campus. I try to participate in as many accessible activities that I can. One of the biggest organizations I associate with is Alpha Lambda Delta.

Alpha Lambda Delta runs similarly to Honors. I have gotten to give back with an incredible team and even plan services myself. This pandemic has left many people isolated without family and friends. A large group of people affected by this virus are the elderly. I took it upon myself to write 100 greeting cards to give to a local nursing home. I encouraged others in this organization to do it as well. This was a favorite of mine!
