This fraternity is the chemistry fraternity here at Longwood. What we do is participate in big programs put on by the school, like Oktoberfest. Our main goal is to educate people on chemistry and why it is important in the world. Currently I am holding a position on the executive board as the treasurer for the fraternity. My job is to make sure that the active brothers within the organization pay their chapter dues on time and in an orderly manner. I also deal with the new members coming into the fraternity and their payments that they have to make in order to be initiated. My side job, besides make sure that payments are on time, is to make sure the goggle sales are running smoothly and I collect the money for that as well. Every semester the fraternity holds a goggle sale to provide the appropriate goggles for the science students that are taking classes that require these goggles.
I really enjoy being a part of this fraternity because there are many people that have the same goals as me or even just the same interests, like enjoying chemistry or even simply science in general. I have made many lifelong friendships so far and I hope to create even more in my final years here at Longwood.
