HONS 495 – Legacies of Frankenstein
Reflection
This class was a class that I honestly solely took because I needed an honors class that was a level 300+ and it was the only one offered that sounded somewhat interesting to me. After the first class, I was more interested because we would get to see how Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, a novel I read back in high school, had an impact on other stories/films. While the class itself was great, the structure of the class was not. It was a Monday night class, so we only met once a week; however, this class was taught by a different professor each week. I wasn’t a fan of this because I felt we didn’t get a chance to know each professor during the course of the class. Also, everyone had a different grading style so grading was inconsistent throughout the semester. If the structure of the class was improved, I would definitely take this course again, but for now, I would steer clear.
