Reflection

I had the amazing opportunity of taking history 100 while I was studying abroad. While the class only lasted 4 weeks for me and I’m not the biggest fan of history classes, I actually enjoyed this class. Because I studied abroad in Spain, I had the opportunity to visit some of the places that we were learning about like the Alhambra and a few cathedrals. My absolute favorite part of this trip was when we got to visit the tombs of King Ferdinand and Queen Elizabeth in the Capilla Real. It was very interesting to see how they were buried. When you first walked in the room, there was a sculpture of theme lying down on the top. To see the actual tombs, you had to walk down a set of steps under the sculpture and it was cool because you could actually see the caskets. You would think that burying a king and a queen would have them locked inside of a structure, but that wasn’t the case.
