Goal 10: Spanish 202

Reflection

As stated in my goal 9 reflection, the reason I took Spanish 202 my second semester was in preparation for my study abroad trip that following summer. I was a little nervous to take this class even though I placed into it on the foreign language placement test. To be completely honest, I didn’t know many of the answers on the placement test and for a majority of the questions, I was choosing random answers. My first few days were a little difficult because I had lost many of the skills that I had learned in previous years, but as the weeks went on, I eventually began to regain most of those skills back fairly quick. As a child, I was always obsessed with Spanish music and that’s what inspired me to begin learning the Spanish language in middle school. I loved how this class incorporated music in order to help with the learning of Spanish. I can honestly say that with the help of this class and my study abroad experience, I have definitely greatly improved my Spanish skills and I plan to continue to improve them in the years to come.
