In fall 2016, I joined Tri Sigma and I was introduced to our philanthropy that I’ve absolutely fell in love with. On Sundays, we go out to the White Bird Appaloosa Horse Rescue and help out the owners with anything they need. While I used to be afraid of horses, getting to work up close with them has changed my mindset entirely. (Especially the two mini’s)
We work on feeding all the horses, cleaning their stalls, getting them fresh water, and taking them out into the paddocks to run around. There are also cows that we get to help feed as well as 2 cats that live there. One of the cats, Tuna, is a favorite among us because he loves being around us and playing while we do the work.
