Goal 3: English 203
Reflection
This was another class that I didn’t expect to like, but enjoyed anyways. Back when I took ENGL-150, I dreaded the idea of having to take another english class; however, it was getting to the point in my college career where I needed to start focusing more on my major than on general courses. I thought this class was going to mirror what I learned in english 150, but focus more around the stories we were reading; however, I learned a lot more than just that. The stories we read were packed with a lot of historical information and provided us with context of different issues american’s have faced throughout time. We focused on topics like women’s suffrage, african american rights, military, and gender norms. If I could take another class like this, I definitely would because I feel almost as if I learned more about our history in this class than I learned in any US history class I’ve taken.
