Service

Throughout my first year at Longwood I have gotten multiple opportunities to understand the importance of becoming a citizen leader not only on campus, but in all aspects of my daily life.  I adore being able to provide service and give back to communities that have done so much for me and I will always be grateful for the opportunities that the Cormier Honors College give me to do just that.

One of my favorite memories from my first year at Longwood was getting to volunteer for the Honors Preview Day in February 2020.  I still remember the day that I myself came to Longwood to learn more about the honors program and I was convinced from that day forward that the Cormier Honors College would be a place that would absolutely love.  When given the opportunity to volunteer for Preview Day I knew that I just had to sign up.  Even though the jobs that I did may have seemed small, I felt as though I was able to share my overflowing love for Longwood and the Cormier Honors College to so many prospective students that day.  With the help of the Cormier Honors College and other organizations around campus I have developed an even stronger love for giving back to my community than I ever had before.
