2023 National Conference on Undergraduate Research

I presented my research that I conducted during the Longwood Perspectives on Research in Science and Mathematics program at the 2023 National Conference on Undergraduate Research. The conference was held at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The research topic was determining the maximum surface area of a polytope with eight vertices inscribed in the unit sphere and I conducted the research with Dr. Steven Hoehner and Nicolas Freeman. Unfortunately, they were unable attend so I presented the research by myself.

I applied to attend the Conference and was accepted in January of 2023. I then traveled to University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on April 12th and presented on April 13th. This was a tremendous learning experience because of both being able to view the posters of other presenters from around the country and gaining the experience of presenting on academic research. The picture below shows me standing with my research poster.
