This 20 page paper was our end of the year project for the enhancement honors section. I chose to write my paper on the Cuban Missile Crisis and John F. Kennedy. I loved writing this paper because I have always been incredibly interested in JFK and his presidency. Learning about the Cuban Missile Crisis was fascinating because it was the closest the world has ever been to a nuclear war. I am also incredibly interested in the US-Russia relationship, which is still incredibly present in today’s world. This paper also allowed me to understand the that there are multiple perceptions of the same story – analyzing information from Russian outlets on the issue, American outlets, and released confidential ExComm documents and recordings. It will help me in the rest of my life because it will cause me to look for more information on a resource and not just believe what I read.
