Love, Sex, and Friendship PHIL 495 -50

In this class, we learned a lot about the different kinds of love. Before I started the class, I would think of love as a kind of puppy love. However, after our in-depth analysis of love and friendship, I have a much deeper understanding of what love really is. In this paper I analyzed love from the Eros perspective. I ask the question, “Is a longterm romantic relationship preferable?” As someone who as experienced this first hand, I would say no; but I believe that varies depending on what you compare it to, what kind of person you are, and what kind of time are you at in your life. Is the longterm relationship preferable to a short term one? Preferable to no relationship with that person at all? I really enjoyed writing this paper because it allowed me to develop myself as a current and future partner. My deeper understand will help me not only in future romantic relationships but also platonic and familial relationships.

Just a snapshot into my time at Longwood!
