Math 164 – Precalculus

I took this class my first semester of my freshman year. I had taken pre-calculus before so this information came easy to me, as I had already learned it. The biggest thing I learned in this course was how to write a math paper. As I had never written one before, it took me a bit to get a hang of the structure of the paper. This skill helped me greatly in the other math classes I would take in the future when I had to write numerous math papers. This class also helped me develop strong study tools that would help me in every class I would later take.

Something we were tested on frequently was the Unit Circle. In order to help me remember the numbers that went in each blank, I would fill in the circle and find tricks that would help me remember each number. I later adapted these tools to using flash cards and word/number tricks to remember specific information.
