This class was unlike anything I had taken before. It was supposed to use string, wood, paper, and other materials as such to create 3D art. However, my teacher had to go on paternity leave and we had a substitute teacher most of the semester. This teacher was a renowned clay sculptor, so therefore the class focused on the use of clay. Turns out, I am not much of a clay artist. I had a very difficult time working with the clay and even more so sculpting it into identifiable objects. School got shut down due to the corona virus and all the students were sent home. My art class started making land art instead. This is the use of natural materials found outdoors. This was much more doable for me and I even enjoyed it. I wanted to include my final land art project, but it does not fit here. I have included the assignment to explain an emotional tie to a physical object.
