Community is a very big aspect of Longwood and one of the main reasons I chose to attend here. Community is even bigger in the honors college. During the honors retreat at the beginning of my freshman year Longwood honor’s students and staff worked very hard to bring the new freshman into the close-knit community. In this time I met the president of the Outdoors Club which I later joined and became an executive of and I met my future roommate. The community does not end there, though, the Cormier Honors community is also working hard to create events to bring everyone closer together and to connect.
