Letter to Senior Self

Hey there senior Leah!

You got through the nursing program! How were the classes? Were they interesting? How was sophomore year? How were clinicals? What are some of the exciting things that happened? Have you accepted a position with anyone yet? I bet you’re so excited to work as a nurse. Don’t be nervous, you’re so smart you’re gonna nail it as a nurse.

How was the rest of college? Where was your study abroad? Was it amazing? What Outdoors Club trips did you go on? Which was your favorite?  What are some of your favorite memories from school? I bet you made the most of college and had such a great time. Now it’s almost over and you can think back on these memories and be so grateful. Remember when you were a wee little freshman at the honors retreat? Remember Wheeler 332? How about late nights with Daniel, Zack, Josh, Seth, Heidi and Joely? ER trips. Crystal and Noah. Late night studying with Claire and Tori. Chincoteague. Remember your first date with Daniel?

Speaking of, you guys have been dating for 3 years now!! He really does complete you and make your life so good. What are some of the best things that happened with him? You’re a senior, so you know that means there are wedding bells in the not-so-distant future. How exciting is that? You finished college and are ready to start adulthood. You’re getting your first nursing job and probably an apartment and are gonna be engaged soon to the love of your life! You’re finally starting the adult life you always wanted. I’m proud of you. Stay true to yourself, always. Be humble and caring and open-minded and strong and you’ll do just fine in any endeavor you choose in life.
