Citizen 410, or our Symposium course, is the final half of our citizenship classes all Longwood students take. Throughout my Citizen 110 course I looked at how we express our community through art. We were given the prompt to find a problem in our world and community and to present a solution. Cadyee Wightman and I worked together to answer the question; How do we save museums?
We created the idea of an online company that museums can hire to modernize their collections and their exhibitions using technology. We created a virtual walkthrough of the LCVA’s “The Heart is not Heart Shaped” exhibition.
This course gave me the boost and the support to be able to dream and think bigger than I originally would have, and still be successful.
