After learning French for years, it was intimidating to be in a beginning language classroom again. I wanted to learn Spanish for years, as all my extended family speaks it as their first language. This class was calm and quiet at eight am. We learned the vocabulary and the grammar structures from the textbook. We did not seem to go beyond the book in what we learned. I was able to pick up the ideas quickly as I could begin to relate it to both of my other languages, English and French. I’m excited to pursue learning more Spanish and acquiring the language.
Linked is my written creative project for the end of the class which I did on the story of La Llorona. I learned about different parts of the culture and showed my professor my ability to use the language in a written manner as well as comparing between cultures.
