Scholarship

Longwood University’s Cormier Honors College has the motto, “it’s not more work, it is different work.” This motto describes the type of academic work that students face in their Honors courses. I am proud to be a student in a program like this. The work that I have completed in my Honors courses is not more work than my regular courses, but indeed different work. I have found that most of my work in Honors courses to be more challenging. It is more challenging in a way that it is at higher difficulty level, but more challenging because it requires me to think in different ways and utilize several resources. During these courses I have learned just as much about myself and how to better myself as a student as I have about the course content. I thoroughly enjoy learning, and I am all for learning more than one idea or lesson at once!
